Typically, in the beginning of the year, many people make New Year’s Resolutions related to health and nutrition. Since we are three months into the year, we wanted to provide healthier food options to help people keep those resolutions. Herbalife experts Susan Bowerman and Michelle Ricker are here to teach us which foods are the healthiest.
What’s Better? Regular or Greek Yogurt?
“If we’re comparing plain, unsweetened varieties, then Greek yogurt will win,” says Michelle, Director of Worldwide Health Education.
Hamburgers or Hotdogs?
“Both are sources of saturated fat, but on a per-bite basis, hot dogs have more fat than hamburgers,” says Susan, Senior Director of Worldwide Health Education.
French or Sweet Potato Fries?
“In both cases, you are consuming a lot of fat, but sweet potatoes are a great source of Vitamin A as Beta-Carotene,” says Michelle.
Cow or Almond Milk?
“Cow’s milk is more nutritious per cup. Eight grams of protein versus one gram of protein in almond milk, plus it has natural occurring calcium,” says Michelle.
We hope this helps with deciding which food is the best option. Want to learn more about nutritious meals, HNF has a Facebook channel dedicated to healthy recipes.
