Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA) is an integral part of our network, comprising 168 Casa Herbalife Nutrition organizations across the globe. Through this partnership, we’ve supported a number of families in the local LA community, including Silvia and her daughters.
The COVID-19 pandemic took a long-term toll on this family, so Silvia turned to HOLA’s Family Services department for support, in order to ensure that her kids could continue accessing the healthy foods and wellness they need. Staff there also connected her with weekly grocery distributions as well as additional gift cards for nutritious meals.
Silvia says it best herself: “In this difficult year, we’ve learned to value the things in our life that have always been there. HOLA is one of those things. HOLA has always been there for us, whether it’s through food distribution or support and guidance for my daughters.”
These healthy food options empowered Silvia to cook with plenty of fruits and vegetables, creating inventive, creative meals for her family. Now, her daughters are currently enrolled in HOLA’s Visual Arts and Music Studios programs.
Silvia reflects, “At HOLA, my kids can focus on their interests and work toward their future. Art is not just a hobby for my daughters, it’s a possible career path for them.” Her children always look forward to their HOLA classes, which not only foster their talents, but also will help shape the bright road ahead for the course of their lives.
This story and our shared impact simply wouldn’t be possible without friends like you. Because of continued intervention from the HNF community, Silvia and her family feel confident they can reach their full potential.
