The Herbalife Nutrition Foundation (HNF) is partnering with the Power of Nutrition and the World Bank, in an effort to ensure children and communities in Rwanda receive a healthier quality of life. The two-year partnership includes a $300,000 grant that will support the Stunting Reduction Program in Rwanda.
“We’re pleased to partner with the Herbalife Nutrition Foundation to support The Power of Nutrition’s goal of accelerating the pace and scale of improvements in nutrition provision globally,” said Simon Bishop, Chief Executive Officer of The Power of Nutrition. “Together, with the World Bank, we look forward to bringing about lasting improvements to people’s lives in Rwanda and continuing to highlight the importance of diets that are accessible, healthy and sustainable.”
With the partnership, HNF’s funding will support children and mothers who need essential nutrition and health services, while also enhancing access to adequate nutrition. Stunting affects 33% of children under the age of five in Rwanda, but now, more than one million women and children will benefit from HNF teaming up with The Power of Nutrition and World Bank.
Herbalife Nutrition and the Herbalife Nutrition Foundation have partnered together to create “Nutrition for Zero Hunger,” a global initiative focused on meeting the challenges of global hunger, while focusing on creating pathways for sustainable nutrition. As a joint initiative, Nutrition for Zero Hunger focuses on leading partners, programs and nutrition interventions that foster continuous improvement in food and nutrition access in communities worldwide.
