Rick Redding is committed to raising awareness and funds to support the Herbalife Nutrition Foundation’s mission to improve the lives of children and communities worldwide. So much so, that he started the program, “50 for Kids,” where he’s dedicated the next five years of his life to riding his bicycle across all 50 United States to fundraise for our Casa Herbalife program.
“Why did somebody at 60-years-old start a project like this?” Rick asked. “I spent 40 years making some money and thanks to Herbalife, I want to spend the next 40 years of my life giving back.”
You can follow Rick’s journey via his 50 For Kids Facebook page, and when someone donates, a hundred percent of the donated funds go to Casa Herbalife. HNF is so important to Rick because he knows there are so many kids who need a helping hand.
Rick is also very motivated to use his Herbalife business to facilitate more donations for HNF and he encourages other Herbalife Independent Distributors to do the same.
“You have potential customers in your community that would go out of their to way to come in just so that they can give an extra tip,” Rick said. “It gives you the opportunity to do three things: Get new customers in and expose them to Herbalife products, expose them to Casa Herbalife, and give back.”
Rick also knows that cycling across 50 States isn’t a traditional way to fundraise, but he encourages others to get involved in other ways.
“You can just go and volunteer, donate items, or find ways to give your time and raise money,” said Rick. “We can’t all ride the bike, we can’t all raise all the money needed, but together we can really make an impact that can totally change these kids’ lives. It’s about furthering that dream that Mark Hughes had of being able to make impacts in kids’ lives.”
